Shore Drift Oak / Straight Plank

Shore Drift Oak plank carries a 3mm wear layer of European oak on a multi-layered engineered board, 14mm thick in total. Planks measure 190 × 1900mm, with a tongue and groove fitting profile.

Shore Drift Oak is designed to bring the look of raw, untreated oak into the home. The surface is simply brushed and sealed with an invisible natural lacquer that maintains the wood's authenticity while providing protection. The result is a floor that is both distinctive and natural in design, and a perfect fit in traditional and modern homes alike.

The finish

Invisible lacquer.

V4’s invisible lacquer is UV-cured at the factory, so the surface reads as raw, unfinished oak — matt, quiet, no visible sheen — but carries the durability of a full lacquer.

You get the look of oiled or untreated timber without the ongoing oil re-application, and without a plasticky top-coat. For domestic use it is a low-maintenance answer to the “I want it to look natural” ask.

About the grade

Rustic means character.

Rustic grade (CD) works with the natural character of the timber rather than sorting it out. That is worth understanding before you order.

Expect visible knots of varying size, both heartwood and sapwood, colour variation between boards, and small checks and end shake stabilised with tinted filler. These are grade features, not manufacturing defects — they are what the rustic label means.

KnotsPresent throughout, varying in size. Filler-stabilised where needed.
Colour variationBoard-to-board variation is part of the grade. Includes sapwood.
FillerTinted to complement wood tone; may contrast with knots for character.
Batch variationFiller and finish can vary slightly between batches — order in one go where possible.
