Granite Smoke Oak / Herringbone
Granite Smoke Oak herringbone carries a 4mm wear layer of European oak on a multi-layered engineered board, 15mm thick in total. Blocks measure 125 × 600mm, with a tongue and groove fitting profile.
The blocks are intentionally smoked and distressed to offer a worn, aged appearance, with subtle hand-scraping and cross-sawing effects that give a brand-new floor the look of one that has always belonged. The larger-format blocks suit a very traditional setting or create a striking contrast in a contemporary space.

Smoked, brushed, oiled.
The timber is chamber-smoked before finishing. Ammonia reacts with the tannin in the oak and darkens it through the wear layer, so the colour is in the wood rather than on it — a cut edge shows the same tone as the face.
Brushing then opens the grain and clear UV oil seals it. Because smoking works on each board’s own tannin content, tone varies board to board and batch to batch; that variation is inherent to the process, not a fault.
