Amberwood Oak / Straight Plank
Amberwood Oak plank carries a 4mm wear layer of European oak on a multi-layered engineered board, 15mm thick in total. Planks measure 220 × 2200mm, with a tongue and groove fitting profile.
The planks are intentionally smoked and distressed to create a homely, worn and aged appearance. After subtle hand-scraping and cross-sawing effects, a UV oil is applied which locks in their warm golden glow and protects the surface. Their rustic aesthetic is enhanced further by the planks' generous dimensions, producing a striking and timeless rustic wood floor.

Smoked, brushed, oiled.
The timber is chamber-smoked before finishing. Ammonia reacts with the tannin in the oak and darkens it through the wear layer, so the colour is in the wood rather than on it — a cut edge shows the same tone as the face.
Brushing then opens the grain and clear UV oil seals it. Because smoking works on each board’s own tannin content, tone varies board to board and batch to batch; that variation is inherent to the process, not a fault.
