A structural DPM must already be in place. Quantum can also hold back residual moisture on its own, spread at 1,500–1,750 g/m² with a 1500G trowel on cement screed or concrete, never on levelling compound or gypsum screed. Pick “Damp screed” in the floor list for that. Above 95% RH, rising damp or no DPM: no Bona product is designed for it.

Uneven screed — level it first

Hairline cracks or old parquet

Must be dry with the laitance removed. No Bona moisture barrier is approved on anhydrite, and Quantum’s own barrier use is for cement screed and concrete only.

Bonded acoustic mat for less footfall noise

Bona names Quantum, Quantum T and Titan for U300. The mat takes its own layer of adhesive, about 850 g/m² with an 850F trowel (1000F on coarse or weak subfloors) — allow for it. Rooms wider than 5 m need movement joints in the mat and the floor. Bona’s sound figures are lab results; on-site results vary.
