One dark floor across the top of the house.
The plank is very dark, with lighter boards and knots showing through. It runs the length of the landing and on into each room, the bathroom included.
At the door frames the architraves were undercut so the boards slide underneath, rather than being cut round.
The gap at the walls.

A skirting offcut as the gauge
Before the skirting goes on, a short piece of it is kept on the floor to check the gap at the walls. The gap has to be no wider than the skirting can cover.

Under the bath
The same plank runs under the roll-top bath and up to the shower enclosure.
Room by room.

Under the slope of the roof.

The bathroom, before the bath went back.

A bedroom, just cleaned.

A bedroom, finished.

The old pine, sanded.
Elsewhere in the house the original pine floorboards stayed. The floors and the pine stairs were sanded and refinished.
